The Imperial Capital Burns – Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse is a standalone prequel with a fixed narrative conclusion. Select Start from the title menu, then advance the dialogue and story sequences in order, beginning with Yui Takamura’s time at Yamayuri Girls’ Surface Pilot Academy and continuing through the invasion of Kyoto.
There are no separate romantic character routes, affection requirements, or alternative story-ending paths to plan around. Continue until the final scene and credits to finish the story and register the completion achievement, Dead Woman Walking. For additional completion records, open Chapter Select from the menu at least once to register the Calendar achievement.
The other story achievements are associated with progressing through the narrative, including the cadet training, military deployments, and the Battle of Kyoto. This game is separate from Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse Remastered, which follows later events.
